Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit, has designed a distinctive keycase to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company. Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it comes with a flying 'B' paperweight, a set of keys as well as a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics

Design
Bentley is known for its luxurious and ostentatious cars however, even keys are made to stand out. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are embroidered with Centenary Gold, adding to the feeling of celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key comes with an opening button for the trunk, as well as a button that can start the car. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. The configuration that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to the guests in a custom key case. The keys can also be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps which light the door's opening pathway with the owner's name or emblem as they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley says it takes roughly 500 man-hours to design and assemble the average Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to adopt the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers don't make use of a machine to create perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand.
